Whiff of Success

Sean Whiffin recently renewed his acquaintance with SVEye by flying over to Belfast to get his vision checked and a refresher with his putting/short game routine. The following week he followed the visit up by wining the Order of Merit on the PGA East Region and then winning on The Europro Tour by 3 shots. He was the only player to finish under par.

His victory on Europro Tour came in The Brooks Brothers 2009 Classic at Five Lakes Golf, Country Club & Spa, shooting a fine level par final round in windy conditions to finish on three under for the tournament.
Whiffin (The Hertfordshire G&CC) began the day two strokes behind and many found the wind too strong. In contrast, Whiffin parred the first seven holes while those around him faltered, and after exchanging three birdies for three bogeys in six holes from the eighth, he carded a level par 71 to follow rounds of 69 and 70 and be rewarded for his solid golf in trying conditions.
“It seems obvious that vision is a critical part of a sports persons performance and I have prioritised it accordingly. It is a one hour flight to Belfast which makes it easy to get over and see Susan. I know that my vision is as good as it can be I use the SVEye "Two to One" putting technique and my scores bear the evidence of the effect it has. My concentration and ability to focus is better as a result of the computer and manual exercises that Susan has given me.” said the 38 year-old, “I played well in the final round, I knew I had to keep out of trouble and I did just that. I have practiced a lot on my short game and putting beforehand – that was always going to be the key out there as in those conditions you are going to miss greens,” said Sean.
Sean now lies 11th on The Europro Order of Merit after just one event and is looking forward to the seasons end event at Fairmont, St Andrews in October.
