Important visual skills in sports vary from sport to sport. Below are a selection of sports and which visual skills and general areas in which the athlete can seek to improve and develop.

Rugby

Peripheral awareness, hand eye coordination, foot eye coordination and dynamic visual acuity.

Sailing

Glare recovery, motility, peripheral awareness

Swimming

Clear stable vision, peripheral awareness

Tennis

Prolonged visual concentration, sharp visual acuity, dynamic acuity and focus flexibility.

GAA
